Meet Dr. Eden
Sonia was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University. Her medical training was undertaken at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Dr. Eden then completed an internship in General Surgery, and a six-year residency in Neurological Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Eden also completed a Clinical Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery in with Dr. Kevin Foley at Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis, TN. Dr. Eden is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves.
Her practice focuses on surgical and non-surgical treatment of brain and spinal disorders, with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques for the spine. She has a passion for serving others and has been very active in the community. She has a little sister through the Big Brother Big Sister program. She also serves on the Borgess Foundation board, Friendship Village board, and the Ruben. J. Williams Foundation board.
